WATERCOLOR HAWAII
January 5-12, 2024
You can enjoy one week (six full days and seven nights) of watercolor (and drawing) instruction on the beautiful island of Molokai. We stay at the Kaluakoi condos on the west end of Molokai. Each condominium is equipped with cooking and serving utensils, a microwave oven, stove top, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, TV, private bath and a balcony or a lanai. You will view the Hawaiian sunset on the ocean each evening from this location. There is a tennis court and barbecue areas. The workshop includes all watercolor (or oil painting if you prefer) and drawing instruction and demonstrations, private and group instruction, some materials, and all land transportation on Molokai. Fee does not include your condo, meals, airfare from and to the mainland, or airfare from and to the other Hawaiian islands. You will book your own condo on the west end of Molokai with either VRBO.com or Airbnb.com for seven nights at Kepuhi Beach the Kaluakoi Condominiums located next to the ocean on the west end of Molokai. Your condo (villa) will cost between $6oo and $1100 for the seven nights. Book early and get the best prices and locations. This way you can get exactly the right condo for you. It is loads of fun and you will gain confidence and skill with drawing and watercolor,. You will amaze yourself. Traveling to Molokai is going back in time. Molokai is old Hawaii, the way the other islands looked 100 years ago. You will find Molokai friendly and peaceful, a perfect place to relax and paint and draw without distraction. Molokai has the highest cliffs in the Pacific, pastures, rain forest, a beautiful volcano, empty beaches, flowers and palm trees. To register, send your check to the address below. Note: If the workshop is fully registered, sometimes a place will open up because of a last minute cancellation. If the workshop if full, be sure and wait list if you want to come.

GREECE
To be announced
We didn’t have enough sign-ups to make the May 2, 2023 departure date this year. So watch for the rescheduling of this wonderful trip.
Travel to Greece with me and come back with some great drawings and watercolors. This will be my 12th group trip to Greece. We will visit Athens and the Acropolis, Mykonos, Thira and Oia in Santorini, Folegandros (my favorite Greek Island), and then we will travel to Crete and visit Iraklion with its important Museum and the Palace of Knossos. From Hanja in Crete we will walk the Samarian Gorge which offers unparalleled beauty with its world-renowned Portes (Iron Gates). Then we will fly back to Athens and home. The cost of this great experience is $3900 per person. This includes all of your transportation in Greece (air flight from Crete and all ferries) all your hotels and breakfasts and instruction. This does not include personal ground transportation, taxis and busses, museum entrance fees, and other meals. Please be advised, this price may change if certain hotels are not available. Register no later than January 31.
The ITINERARY for the May 2023 is below. When the future workshop is schedluled it will be similar:
May 2 Fly to Athens. You will book your own flight and we will meet at the Hotel in Athens.
May 3 Arrive in Athens and have a great evening meal together in Plaka.
May 4 Visit the Acropolis in the morning and take the ferry to Mykonos in the afternoon.
May 5 Optional: The morning ferry to Delos (not included) to visit the ancient ruins. Or see and paint in Mykonos. Paint in Mykonos in the afternoon.
May 6 Paint and draw in Mykonos.
May 7 Take ferry to Santorini by way of Paros. Visit Thira and the Archeological Museum.
May8 Paint and draw in Oia, Santorini.
May 9 Paint in Santorini. Visit the ancient site of Akrotiri.
May 10 Take ferry to Folegandros, my favorite Greek island.
May 11 Paint and draw in Folegandros.
May 12 Paint and draw in Folegandros.
May 13 Take ferry back to Santorini and take another ferry to Iraklion, Crete. Visit Archaeological Museum in Iraklion if possible.
May 14 The Palace of Knossos, just outside the city. Afternoon bus to Hanya.
May 15 Optional: Hike the Samarian Gouge. This tour is not included.
May 16 Fly to Athens and return to the USA.

YOSEMITE 2023
May 19–21, 2023
From Friday, May 19-Sunday May 21, 2023 you can sharpen your landscape drawing and painting skills while you visit powerful waterfalls, overflowing streams, fresh green meadows, and the spectacular geologic formations in Yosemite Valley. Robert will do four watercolor demonstrations. You will get individual coaching and participate in three class reviews of student works. You will be able to observe and try a variety of drawing and watercolor techniques. This will be the 40th year Robert has conducted a Yosemite Workshop. He has also been invited to be the Artist in Residence at the Art Activity Center in Yosemite for many years. The fee includes 16 hours of instructional class time. Registration The registration fee is $299 for the three days. You must make your own reservations for accommodations. Your room is not included in the workshop fee. Make your accommodation reservation as soon as possible. If you have difficulty know that there will be many cancellations for rooms in May. Call Reservations: 888-413-8869. Cancellations before April 1, 2023 will receive a full refund minus a $20 administration fee. After that date, no refunds are possible. If non attendance occurs because of a serious health issue, a partial or full credit for a future workshop may be possible.
