ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES

The assemblies are fast-moving, upbeat, entertaining programs that use drawing, music, film, story telling, verse, and student participation to deliver the message--that we all possess the free gift of creative imagination that promotes learning, solves problems, and creates joy and satisfaction for ourselves and others. These programs:

  1. explore the keys to creative thinking for kids

  2. demonstrate how easy it is to draw

  3. illustrate how to escape the fear monster

  4. encourage expression of imagination and creativity

  5. illustrate right brain and left brain thinking

  6. demonstrate simple drawing exercises for success

STAFF IN-SERVICE PROGRAMS

Teachers who want to feel confident presenting art subjects to enhance the academics will discover ways to increase the learning potential for all their students. Master techniques for:

  1. unlocking creative thinking

  2. drawing from the imagination or reality

  3. making fast one minute or less drawings

  4. talking about student art work and art masters

  5. combining drawing with creative writing lessons

IN-CLASS WORKSHOPS

While on your campus take advantage of the opportunity to have Mr. Dvorak come to your class room and motivate your students with some hands-on drawing instruction. In Twenty to forty minutes he can give your students drawing confidence that will last for life. Students will learn to observe carefully, concentrate, and draw with confidence.

FAMILY DRAWING FUN

Here is a chance to open up new avenues for creative expression for the entire family. Through hands on drawing exercises and games, parents learn to rediscover the child inside and draw and play together with their children in a safe space.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID:

"The kids and teachers loved it!" A.M., Hoover Elementary School, Redwood City, California

"What I liked was the way you used critical thinking. It spanned all the curricular areas." G.M., Orion Elementary School, Redwood City, California

"Your workshop was a very enriching experience personally for all of us. We were encouraged to discover abilities we didn't think we had, and we're anxious to have the chance in our own classes to pass this discovery on to our students." E.N. Art Docent Coordinator, Los Lomitas School District, Menlo Park, California

"What I liked was the multi-involvement; i.e., film, drawing, speaking, singing, and involving students." J.S. Hoover Elementary School, Redwood City, California

"It was really good. I have had figure drawing, but I learned more of value to me in this one session than in all the other lessons. Mr. Dvorak is a really good teacher. His emphasis was on doing it--it didn't have to be 'right.' Everything was so comfortable. I'd do it again." High School Student, Palo Alto California

"The puppets were great. Especially good are the two fists explaining the brain." V.G., Hoover School, Redwood City, California

"The kids enjoyed it and were anxious to do the activities." V.C., Hoover Elementary School, Redwood City, California
